What Causes Enlarged Veins In Penis?

I am a 31 yr old healthy male. I am 6'0" and 205lbs. The large vein that runs length wise down the top side of my penis is enlarged at the base. The vein measures about little under 1/4" in diameter, but has swolen to over 1/2" in diameter about 1" in length from pubic bone creating sort of a bubble at the base. I have done nothing to my knowledge to cause any damage down there. should I be concerned?

Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your anxiety.
You don't need to worry about the enlarged veins over the penis.
It's normal to see enlarged veins over penis and that depends on body size.
It doesn't affect your sexual health in any way.
The blood flow in the penis, will cause change in size of the veins.
With erection,the veins will get more enlarged,due to increased blood flow.
