What Causes Enlargement And Discomfort In Epiglottis?
Hi, i've had tonsilits/strep 4 times in the last 12 months and have been prescribed antibiotics/penecillin on each occasion which has dealt with the white plaques and associated symptoms. However, during the whole 12 month period my eppilglottis has been enlarged and bright red causing mild but constant discomfort. I smoked from the age of 20 to 32 but have not smoked for the lsat 6 months (excluding the odd cigarrette when at a party) but swelling and discomfort has not abated.I have seen my GP who says that some people are just prone to sore throats. As an ex smoker I am concerned that it may be more serious. Can you advise what my next steps should be?
