What Causes Enlargement In The Neck Lymph Node In A Breast Cancer Patient?

last year I had diagnosis of stage 1 mucinous carcinoma with DCIS present. Estrogen and progesterin positive. I had double mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction. 2 lymph nodes removed and checked. No cancer in nodes. yesterday I had enlarged neck lymph node and nodule on my thyroid biopsied. I overheard with history of DCIS mentioned. Do not have results yet, but was wondering about link to DCIS? 69 years old.

It is very unlikely for ER positive disease, especially DCIS to come back so soon. The biopsy needs to be rechecked. You just overhead. First confirm what it is. Cancer recurrence is unlikely
