Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im 26, 6' and 160 lbs and have no real medical history relating to this problem. I have recently quit smoking and whenever i eat it feels like i am also gulping excessive amounts of air and i feel the need to belch but it is very hard to do so but eventually i do. Then once i have finished eating it feels like there is still food stuck in my esophagus and it sometimes makes me gag as if it is pushing on my gag reflex. I never have this problem when i am smoking but when i quit this always happens so i go back to smoking to stop it but this time i am determined not to do that. Any ideas whatr is wrong?
Well come to HCM Thank for asking, this is absolute psychological condition you are having and because of this it is likely that you may start smoking again, so try to come out of this condition, it is nothing like that at all as you are having all kind of feelings and symptoms, it is functional condition or it is the indirect provocating phenomenon for smoking, and hope the given information helps.
