hello doctor my dad has got an apses on the thigh region below his back and now it has bursted. we have admitted him in the hospital as a surgery has to be done to remove the pus, they will be giving him a general anesthetic for the surgery. he is 72 years of age and has no problems like related to heart, sugar etc.i want to know how this apses evolves and what are the causes of it.he has already had 2 in the past on the legs, but was not as severe as this time. kindly let me know the risks and if it is a serious thing. how long would he have be be admitted in the hospital
