Hello, Vaginal discharge turns thick when there is only estrogen effect. As ovulation occurs, this discharge turns thin and profuse to facilitate easy sperm passage. Just before the onset of a menstrual period, the discharge turns profuse. Creamy discharge can be due to hormone effect and if is associated with some burning sensation and/or itching of the soft parts, infection has to be suspected, investigated and treated at the earliest. The history of irregular spotting calls for further evaluation. You can get a blood test for pregnancy or wait for three weeks after ovulation to get a HPT. Hope this helps.
