What Causes Excess Saliva And Mucus Production While On Mucinex And Claritin?
Thank you.......I use nasal spray, mucinex s one daily and claritin, one daily.....and have persistent mucous production and excess saliva, especially at night...have elevated my pillow and have cut back k on dairy.I am 65+ years and have had recent endoscopy. Thank you again. As long as this is merely an allergenic symptom and not something else....

Using nasal sprays for too long may result into symptoms like runny nose, excessive salivation and sometimes flushing of the face. This condition is called Rhinitis Medicamentosa.
Stopping the use of nasal spray would help you with your symptoms.
