What Causes Excess Sweating, Dizziness And Urge To Vomit?

I woke up around 3:30am sweating profusely and feeling dizzy. Then, I started to feel nauseous. I could not stop sweating or get cool enough. My temperature was 36.6 celsius. When I felt like I had to throw up, it was more of a dry heave. What happened to me or what was wrong with me?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Most likely, if this was just one episode, food poisoning is the condition that may cause such symptoms. This is true if you had any unusual food hours before the episode, and if you had abdominal pain in the subsequent hours. If these symptoms repeat, see your primary care doctor and get evaluated further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
