What Causes Excessive Bleeding From The Ankle After A Intense Workout?
My 55 year old husband just got out of a very hot shower and had excessive bleeding from his ankle. It spurted out like arterial blood. This also happened in the hot tub last summer. Both times this was following a period of intense work out. He is overweight but healthy. Any ideas?

You mentioned your husband is overweight. Has he measured blood pressure?
Has he done any blood sugar test? Has he had any ankle trauma?
Please consider these examinations because a high blood pressure, trauma, diabetes may be hidden behind these symptoms. It's not advisable do take hot showers if exists any open wound in the ankle. Reserve a meeting with a surgeon.
