What Causes Excessive Burps, Pain And Heaviness In The Chest?
My 81 yr old father wakes up every morning with chest pain followed by heaviness in chest and feeling like he can't breath well. He then begins burping a lot and loudly. He paces around the room to get the air to move. He then feels nauseous. His heart is fine. What could this be from and how can he get relief?
He is suffering from acute acidity. I would suggest you to give him some alkaline solution like Soda mixed with pink salt and lemon juice. It will help him. When digestion gets sluggish, such problems occur.
Ask him to set a routine of walk daily for 30 mins. Give him Tab ranitidine 1od empty stomach with water. Give him artificial enzymes available in market like Unienzyme or lupizyme after meals. Give him good bacteria mixed with curd.
I hope this helps you. If still feel like asking anything then do write us back.
Thanks Dr. Tripat Mehta
