What Causes Excessive Eating With Abdominal Distention In Babies?

My grandson 14mos old eats all the time. Abd gets very distended and hard after eating. Doesn t seem to bother him though. Since birth has not even been on the charts for height and weight. Head size is normal. Has check up soon with family doctor. Is this something he needs to see an Endocrinologist/Pediatrition about

Hi....by what you quote I feel that your kid might be having exogenous obesity which comes due to over feeding or eating. But it is abnormal in this age and needs endocrine evaluation. But if can get back to us with his exact date of birth and birth weight/ length and current weight and length along with his both parents' age/ weight / heights - then we will in a better position to guide you.
