What Causes Excessive Fatigue While Treating Bronchitis And Cold?
I had bronchitis about a month ago and a cold following that. I m still feeling very fatigued and almost faint at times. I ve been to two doctors within the last 2 weeks and they told me to rest and drink plenty of fluids. Is this feasible? I had an EKG that was normal, I am not anemic and my thyroid test was normal. I also tested negative for mono a week ago. I just feel like I m getting worse and not better.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Bronchitis causes allergic reaction to the lower respiratory tract. This causes narrowing of the airways. As a result there is less inflow of oxygen to the airway system. As there is less oxygen body gets less nutrition. This is why many patients feels fatigue after recovering from bronchitis. Carry on the inhaler, anti-allergic medication.
