Yes, diet in a patient of prediabetes is a significant problem. At one end, the treatment demands a good restricted diet and regular exercise. And on the other hand you feel more hungry.
The suggestion I can give you is to try low calory intake foods like cucmbers, carrots and other such foods.
I will also suggest a repeat test of blood sugar with a glucometer whenever this symptom occurs again- reason being this may be body's demand for more food in view of the impending
hypoglycemia. So yes, do test a sugar when this happens
