What Causes Excessive Hunger?

Why am I so hungry? I am 20 years old. I haven't moved weight up or down. I feel so hungry, but my motabolism has increased, and bowels have increased to sometimes twice a day. I don't smoke cannabis, therpist apparently thinks I am not depressed I quit smoking over 8 months ago. I don't drink. It seems like after about an hour from a big meal I feel hungry whether its healthy food from fruit and vegies, to fast food, which I dont eat alot of. Anyways any info would be nice thanks. Matt M. Endocrinologist 's  Response
Welcome and thank you for asking!
I read carefully your concern and understood your query.
One of the most common symptoms of overactive thyroid is increased metabolism, manifested with: feeling hungry and not gaining weight, fast heart rate, diarrhea, sweating ect.
So i would recommend to check the thyroid function:
-TSH,FT4 and FT3 level.
