What Causes Excessive Saliva Discharge During Fasting?
Hello, I have a problem that i m facing these days during month of Ramzan is excessive Spitting, i feel like spitting all the time during Fast, I try hard to avoid it but i m unable to.
Please help me and tell me how to avoid it,it only accours when i m fasting once i break the fast i dont feel like salivating...
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain excessive salivation can be felt due to 2 reasons: 1.There is actual rise in saliva production. 2.Due to reduced swallowing.
In your case it is the second case.. In Ramzaan as you are not supposed to swallow the Saliva it is a Psychological thought that there is increased salivation.. When you break your fast and then you do not feel excessive salivation the cause is that when you normally swallow you do not remain conscious anymore and you start feeling like normal..
So don't worry you are completely alright and there is no problem associated with excessive salivation as if you would have excessive salivation you would feel it even when you break your fast also..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
