What Causes Excessive Sleepiness While On Losartan And Metoprolol?
my mother is taking losartan/hydrochlorothiazide 100/12.5 mg tab in the morning amlopidine 5 mg tab in the morning metoprolol succ 50 mg morning and nite She always sleepy - is there a better way to take this so that she stay more alert and active during the day?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The sleepiness can be due to low blood pressure or a side effect of the medication. I suggest you to do a regular measurement of the blood pressure. If the blood pressure is in normal range and the symptoms continue, then you should consult your doctor for an alternative medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
