What Causes Excessive Sleepiness While Suffering From COPD?

I am always tired. I am a 76 yr old woman and for the last several months I just can t seem to get motivated, My pluse rate averages in the low to mid 50 s. I do have COPD and sleep apenea. my lab tests have been normal. My b12 and d3 levels are good. I take multi vitamens and I also have high blood pressure. The fatigue is usually accompanied by a headache. my biggest concern is not being able to get up in the mornings. I keep falling back to sleep.

Hello,
It may be due to your blood pressure medication. Talk to your doctor and see if one of the blood pressure medications may be causing the problem. There are many blood pressure medicines and not all of them cause fatigue. If that is not the cause then you may need a repeat sleep study and adjustment of your setting on the CPAP.
