What Causes Excessive Spitting, Breathlessness And Headaches While On Nexium?

I am constantly spitting with dry mouth, also have trouble being able to take deep breaths, constant headaches, now I have a constant pain on my right area of the shoulder. I have had an endoscope done. The issues have been ongoing for about 8-9 months. I have seen my doctor and had test after test done they have all came back normal. I take nexium 80mg daily for acid reflux.

Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
Headache is a common side effect of Nexium affecting upto 10% of the users.
Spitting may be related to water brash, a common occurrence in people with Gastroesophageal reflux. Bronchospasm and asthma are very rare ( less than 1% ) Rarely it also produces emotional disorder like anxiety and depression which can manifest as dry mouth.
Do get back to me if you have further queries.
