Im 32 and for the past 6 months i have began sweating more and more. Now i have started night sweats where i am saturating the bed. I sweat whether just getting dressed or doing nothing at all. Lots of time i am cold but cant use a blanket because of the sweating. My thyroid is 1.86 so i know its not that. This is becoming embarrassing where i dont like to go out in public. What is going on with me?
I can understand your concern for excessive sweating. I am quite empathetic to know your condition and it is really embarrassing to get such kind of over sweating every time. In my patients with your kind of problem I generally go for the thorough physical examination of the affected person and rule out any internal cause for the same. A blood examination including various hormonal analyses is also quite important to know the normalcy of the hormonal function. If all the blood profiles are normal then I suggest my patients to take less spicy food and curtail all the other important factors such as smoking and alcohol intake. An ant anxiety drug such as propranolol under medical supervision can also help. Take care.
