General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello!
Your symptoms are suggestive of a diabetic state. Symptoms like excessive thirst, increased hunger, weight loss are signs of abnormal glucose metabolism.
If other symptoms like abnormal (metallic/ fruity) taste and rapid shallow breathing are present and persistent, I highly recommend you to go for blood glucose levels, glucose tolerance test, glucose level in urine to know if there is any abnormality in the glucose metabolism.

Best Regards,
Dr. Gunjan Jain
