What Causes Excessive Vaginal Bleeding Despite Taking Duphaston?

Hi ,I m in Malaysia and my doctor prescribed me to take orgametril.I know that this medicine I can not find here...in this moment I take duphaston but I m still bloody...since Wednesday- 7 October. From this night the flow began to be more abundant.I know that when you take duphaston is not normal to bleeding....i ll finish dophaston on 14 November. I wanted to buy vitamin k, but in Malaysia it is forbidden to sell without a prescription.I went to a doctor here, made me an ultrasound and said I had nothing but gave me only the transamin ... which I take that I still have bleeding, Thank you

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

If I had a patient like you I would have treated her in the following manner:
1) I would ask her to get a thyroid profile test and serum prolactin done.
2) I would first give her tab. Tranexamic Acid or Ethamsylate.
3) If bleeding still continues for more than 5 days I will be giving tab. Norethisterone.

And will try to rule out the cause of bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meena Jethani,
