What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge After Treating An Anal Abscess?
Hi, I have seem to have developed an anal abscess after my Lateral Internal Sphincterotomy back in July. I have pictures of the process and what it has looked like since the day of the surgery up until now being it has gone through quite some changes. I now also have even more to add as I am currently having a permanent, overflow of vaginal discharge, frequent need to urinate though when I go to the bathroom nothing comes out and today I woke up with a lot of what appears to be mosquito bites. Is this normal? I have to see my doctor on the 23rd of this month but I figured it can t hurt to ask a professional in the mean time. Thanks for your time, I appreciate it!
General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. It is better to have a pevic examination by gynecologist to rule out any fistula. Swabs should be taken to rule out Dysbacteriosis or fungal infections. Application of clindamycin and clotrimazole suppositories will be helpful in such case. You can also use intimate wash daily to normalize your vaginal ph. Thanks.
