Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that most likely your pain is musculoskeletal which is very common to have after bypass surgery.
You can take over the counter pain killer but it's recommended for you to consult your treating physician as pain killers can increase efficacy of some blood thinner meds, So your physician knows about your medication kindly take his opinion.
I hope this information will answer your query.
Kind regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap
