What Causes Excruciating Pain In The Hip, Groin Spreading Into The Knee?

Agonising pain in right hip. Pain in groin which goes down front of thigh and into knee. Very painful in bed. On Zapain tablets which do not help much. Been like this for a month. Dr. told me to rest and come back in a fortnight. Have disabled partner and live in a first floor flat. thank you JL

it may be due to disc prolapse causing radiating pain. get mri done.
compression bandage will help
