Hi, I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and my mat leave from work starts on the 25th of March. I am finding it more and more difficult to get to and from work and am just exhausted by the time I get there. If I go and see my gp will they sign me off for the next two weeks before my mat leave starts? I have unlimited sick leave

Hello dear,i understand your concern. In my opinion the tiredness and exhaustion is common in pregnancy. It might be due to low Hb,insufficient calories per day, excess liquor sometimes etc.I suggest you to get an Hb estimation done to rule out anaemia.Take food every 2 hourly to meet the energy requirements.Avoid excess strain at work like prolonged standing or any.Take 3 meals and 2 snacks per day.Adequate fluids upto 3 litres per day are required.Nothing to worry.Observe your fetal movements.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.

Best regards...Dr.Srilatha
