my 18 year old daughter suffers from extreme fatigue and dizziness. she has started fainting at school recently. she is very lathargic as well. we've had her tested for celiac's disease with a negative diagnosis. she suffers from some anxiety issues so her pediatrician believes these symptoms are related. neither my daughter or i believe that is true. any suggetions on where we should turn?
Hi dear user I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Extreme fatigue, dizziness and being letarig are signs of hypothyroidism. In my opinion your daughter can have thyroid problems.
My advice is to consult an endocrinologist because your daughter need to do the thyroid tests TSH,freeT3 ,freeT4 and a thyroid ultrasound.
The results of these tests will give the necessary informations if the symptoms can be attributed to thyroid diseases.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thank you for using HCM. Wish you good health.
