Hi. I have super dry skin on my face, almost like after a sun burn. It is worst in the morning or after a shower. It is so dry that it itches. It suddenly happened about a week ago. I ve tried changing my face lotion, and stopped using face scrub in the shower but nothing has worked so far.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of extremely dry itchy skin on the face which seems to be due to excessive sun exposure or allergy . The other reason of red bumps can be a skin infection. Use face wash containing salicylic acid and apply kojic acid cream twice a day after washing face . Use sunscreen with SPF 15 while in exposure to sun to prevent skin from excessive sun damage. Avoid factor which are responsible for itchyness.
-Exfoliate facial skin with water based exfoliant once a week to remove dead skin. -Apply aloe vera gel at night . -Drink plenty of fluids and water to hydrate yourself. -Give cold compresses to reduce itchiness and redness .
If condition persist even after month then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , antiviral , steroid drugs (oral/topical) or isotretinoin.
