What Causes Eye And Lip Twitching?

I have been suffering from upper eye lid twitching for 3 months. I have been to an eye specialist and nothing serious has been diagnosed. He told me to try cutting back on caffeine. Last night my opposite side of my face above my lip started twitching. It almost appeared as if my cheekbone was even a little swollen?? I am starting to get concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi there
eye lid twitching can be normal many a times but since there is constant history of twiching with extension to face and lip so in my opinion you must consult your Neurologist as there might be some mass in brain which can be ruled out with MRI scan. other wise avoid excessive caffeine and energy drinks available in market. take good diet with adequate sodium and pottasium (present in orange juices)
Take care
