What Causes Eye Floaters And Constant Headache While Having Diabetic Retinopathy?
I have diabetic retinopathy but was not listed as serious right now. I woke up this morning and there is a black spot with strings hanging from it (like a jelly fish) and I have had a constant headache for a week now. Is this serious now or will it pass. It is the weekend and no one is open today
Hello, What you're describing could be several things, mainly a blood vessel from the retina that opened and made bleeding into the gel we have inside the eye (also known as vitreous hemorrhage), or a strand of such gel (vitreous) that is pulling on a portion of the retina. Additional questions I'd like to ask you are if you've experienced any flashes of light, or if you've noticed any decrease in vision? In any case, to reach a definitive diagnosis a dilated fundus examination by an Ophthalmologist would be needed. I'd suggest you to try to get examined as soon as possible.
