What Causes Eye Pain With Swelling And Mucous?

Hi! For several years now I have been getting these little attacks in my eyes. It occurs every few months, and last about a week it so. In the first few days it begins with swelling and mucous, and then it progresses to the skin on the insides of my eyelids peeling. It is very painful, and I often miss school and work because of the discomfort. I ve see several opthamologists, as well as a neurologist and my family doctor. I ve taken just about every pill and used every kind of eye drops in the book. I m a 17 year old female who is fed up with this pain!

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi!
When you have tried everything already, try to follow strict ocular hygiene also.
No touching of eyes by unclean hands, always by clean, white soft cotton cloth.
No kajal, no eye cosmetics, no eye washing with anything.
No use of any type of soap, facial wash or detergent around eyes
Then use some mild lubricating eye drop e.g.comoist or Lubrex, or tears natural forte eye drops.
Hope you will get relief.
If you maintain ocular hygiene then only consult your ophthalmologist.
