What Causes Eye Twitching?

I have persistent eye twitching for several weeks typically on top and lower eyelid of right eye. Especially upon awakening and after sneezing squeezing eye tiightly shut etc. I do drink coffee and am front of a computer screen a lot. But it also acts up with sudden urgent movements. Sometimes when I drink lots of strong coffee it really starts pulsating to beat the band.
