What Causes Eyes Buring And Itching After Cataract Surgery?
Hi, I had cataract surgery in both eyes in November of 2013 followed by inflamation in both eyes (put back on prednisilone) in January and then YAG procedures in March. My vision still is not great and my eyes are burning, itching, etc. all the time. I also use triamcinolone for lichen sclerosis. Could that be my eye problem also? Thank you.
it is almost 6 months now after cataract surgery. So your burning and itching is not because of surgery but may be because of lid hygiene which usually have oily changes known as meibomitis.Lubricating eye drops with lid hygiene is the treatment of choice. Regarding the triamcinolone...I suppose if it is a skin ointment can cause burning and itching after rubbing eyes with hands not washed thoroughly after application because of toxicity
