What Causes Eyes To Become Yellow?

Hoping for some clarification, I have been taking norco daily for about 4 years now. I m in my early twenties, and aside from this medicine I keep a fairly healthy lifestyle. Recently however, I have developed a slight yellowing in my eyes, (it comes and goes) as well as occasional heart palpitations. Im wondering two things 1. What are some possible explanations for this? 2. With continued long term use of norco, what are the serious health risks? Also, is it worth it to keep up taking this medicine or should I try to get off of it? (I have scoliosis and bulging disk in my neck which hurts)

yellow coloration of conjunctiva is clinical manifestation of icterus. urine can be tested for bile salt and bile pigment. liver function test can be done. it is result of viral infection or at time due to drug toxicity. in your case it may be prolonged use of narc o. so give up the drug.
