Hi.
Thanks for your query/
Noted the history of colon infection, was treated. Now the problem is of going to the bathroom every half an hour but no poop is coming out.
The commonest cause of such an occurrence wherein one does not get the stools but the constant urge is present can be due to the following reasons:
- Severe form of Procto-colitis
- Polyp in the rectum.
These are constant irritants and one gets the urge to have motion.
I would advise you the following:
- Get an anti-spasmodic.
- A course of antibiotic and
metronidazole to be completed.
-
Probiotic.
Make a list of the foods and beverages, that instigate or enhance your problems.
- No stress, no
anxiety.
This can turn the problem into a chronic disease or IBS that is
irritable bowel syndrome.
Send the stool, blood and urine for tests.
If there is no complete relief you may need a a consultation of a Gastroenterologist for clinical evaluation, examination and
colonoscopy with biopsy to get the proper diagnosis and hence allowing the proper treatment.
