What Causes Fainting And Foaming At The Mouth?

My nephew started foaming at the mouth, and acting like he could not breath. He was almost fainting, i was wondering what could be wrong with him. My sister had to call the paramedics to look at him. I also suggested she take him the doctor for a follow- up visit.

Hello.
The symptoms are suggestive of a seizure. It can occur in any form be it shaking of limbs or fainting to silent seizures following loss of memory.
I would highly suggest to go for a checkup and look for the root cause of the fainting so they may not occur in future.
Also it is suggested to call emergency number when you notice similar symptoms in future.
The doctors would go for an MRI scan of head to look for the lesion and provide the best treatment.

Best Regards,
Dr Gunjan Jain
