I went to my doctor last week Wednesday of last week and I tested positive for benzos An antidepressant and the only thing I ve been taking is the buprenorphin 8 milligrams sub rox and the subutex is the only thing I have been doing for the past 3 weeks
Hello , Welcome to healthcaremagic.com and thanks for sharing your concern with us. False positive for benzodiazepines is seen with use for different common medicines like efavirenz and sertraline . False positive for Benzodiazepines is not seen With Buprenorphine . I would suggest you to get GC/MS done further which are 100 percent accurate and admissible to court as well because it can differentiate benzodiazepines with any possible cross reactive drug or metabolite or substance. You should also check whether you went through any medical procedure recently in which any anxiolytic was given to you which certainly will show up in drug tests and can cause false positive .
