When I sleeping over at a friends house they noticed that I was breathing really fast and then I would stop breathing for a few seconds. They also said my heart was beating really fast but this also happens to me through out the day. I have also blacked out for a few seconds while I am at work. Should I be worried??
Hi welcome to HCM I understand your query and concern. Your symptoms are suggestive of Anxiety related tachycardia.Get an ECG,2 d echo,lipid profile of your heart to rule out any arrhythmia of heart secondary to anxiety.Avoid stress and anxiety.Drugs like anxiolytics will be helpful in your case.Exercise regularly which will release endorphins that will relieve your symptoms.Yoga,meditation,music will be helpful.Avoid diet rich in fats,smoking,alcohol.Report to emergency if you have symptoms like chest pain,shortness of breath,dizziness.Consult your cardiologist for expert management.
