What Causes Fatigue And Depression After Taking Paroxetine?
Hi, I have recently been prescribed Paroxetine 20mg for anxiety/depression and I am constantly tired and lethargic, I have no energy and feel numb and spaced out. I have been on it for only 4 days but am basically falling asleep at my desk at work. How long will this tiredness last for? Can I take no dose to wake myself up?? if not, what can I take to help keep me awake?
Paroxetine causes excessive sedation so it should be started at low dose and preferably taken at night. Gradually dose needs to be increased. You should consult your treating psychiatrist for dose adjustment or switching the drug.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
these is one of the known side effects that usually fades away within a couple of days up to couple of weeks. try to get enough sleep at night. if these is still annoying you, you may need to revise your doctor. But please don't stop the medication without consulting your doctor
