I had sex about 5 days before my period. My period came down when expected. I missed my last period, I was supposed to get my 3rd period 2 days ago and I still dont have it. I have had my hormones through the roof lately. Following that I have been feeling fatigue and I have nausea after eating food and smelling strong smells, such as perfume and food. I took a pregnancy test (cheap one) and it came back negative. Can it be a false negative? What can I do? What do you advise I do?
Hello, If you have always had regular monthly cycles and if you had a normal natural period after your last sexual intercourse, you cannot be pregnant. Since you are experiencing hormonal imbalances lately, this menstrual delay is self-explanatory. The symptoms you are currently experiencing can also be seen with hormonal disturbances. I would suggest a blood test for pregnancy, a trans-vaginal sonogram and if negative for pregnancy, a complete hormone profile to plan further management. Hope this helps.
