What Causes Feeling Of A Painful Lump In Left Abdominal Area?

I have what feels like a small ball like pain in my left stomach but I can t feel a lump when I press stomach from the outside when I bend or cough it s like I have a ping pong ball under my hip. But I can only feel it from inside. Can t feel an actual lump when I press in the area.

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of feeling of a small ball like pain in the left stomach particularly when you bend or cough. It is like feeling a ling pong ball under the hip but can not feel from outside when you press on the abdomen.
This can probably be due to intestinal obstruction with a small intestinal dilation and hence can not really palpate but you can certainly feel the way you have explained.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position when you have this feeling. This can show if there is a dilated bowel loop or so on plain x-ray and to be investigated further by CT scan or contrast studies. The treatment will obviously be dependent upon the actual findings.
Carry on the investigations and clinical evaluation under the General Surgeon or a Surgical Gastroenterologist.
