What Causes Feeling Of Hair Stuck At Back Of Throat And Pink Lumps?
I have had a feeling for the past week that there is a hair stuck on the back of my tongue, also noticed that in this area there a 4 large light pink lumps. They are uncomfortable but not painful and were defiately not there before. I have not had any injury to my tongue or changed any mouth products or foods so I feel these are unlikely to be the cause.
Feeling of hair at the back of tongue with some swollen masses can be due to the following reasons. Viral infection is the common cause of such swelling and feeling. There may not be a known cause every time one gets such problems hence you need symptomatic and supportive treatment in the form of Ibuprofen if it suits you round the clock in proper doses.
Povidone iodine gargles. Multivitamins and mineral. If these do not help then consult your Doctor for proper examination and investigations of throat swab if required. He may give additional antibiotic and decongestant if required. Take plenty of warm fluids and soft diet. Do not worry for the feeling as hair can not stay for such a long time in any part of throat.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
