What Causes Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat?

Hi, I have a sensation in my throat where it feels as though there is something stuck in my throat. At first i panicked that I had swallowed a fly and made myself throw up. But it lasts a few hours, and comes and goes - reoccurring a few times a week. Have you any ideas of what it could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to globus sensation. One of the common cause in the daily practice is GERD. So, I suggest using antacids such as Maalox three times a day. If the symptoms continue, I recommend to see an ENT specialist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
