I recently had a throat infection but still have a problem. it feels as if my throat area is swollen u don t have trouble eating or drinking or swallowing. and m tonge feels like it raw. I went to doctor. she said she saw no problem but the problems still exists. I have asthma and copd with exasperations. and recent ha dental work done. I had a strep est it came back no strep
hello, thanks for your query,throat pain could be due to straining of throat muscles during expectoration or some times due to chronic stasis of sputum, which later on forms localized inflammation( pharyngitis). in copd, u require to take bronchodilators , nebulizations and chest physiotherapy. for clearing do not strain or do hawking. do simple salt water gargling. all d the best. take care.
