Welcome to HCM,
It sounds like your baby has allergies. Getting clogged up with mucous sometimes creates a prime environment for both viral and bacterial infections. If your boy start running a temperature, demonstrates
difficulty breathing and or color of secretions turn green best to take to the doctor.
At this age it is difficult to say whether these are environment and/or
food allergies. Try keeping baby well hydrated,
sinuses clear and comfortable. Keep the floors clean, wash toys, keep sleeping area very clean wiping down walls daily to see if this helps decrease incidence of "colds".
If it is a persistent problem you may want to take your son to an allergist who does skin tests, blood tests and food panel testing to identify and control all affecting allergies.
As far as foods go, please keep anything that causes "mucus" to a low. Use jellos, broth, ice cycles, small amounts of unsweetened juice, eggs are ok if not a bother, soft fresh fruit/vegetables. . .
Babies dehydrate quickly. Keep a close eye on him and don't hesitate to take him to his doctor if he gets worse.
Respectfully,
