What Causes Fever And Constipation While Suffering From Broken Leg?

I'm am 31, 6' and 180, I broke my tibia and fibea in my leg and schduled for surgery on tuesday. I started running a fever of 100.4 today. I have not had a bowel movement in 7 days. do not know is the percuset prescription caused this. should i be worried something going on with leg.
