What Causes Fever Around Ovulation Time?

Good day Dr, This has being a regular occurance since 8months I got married,after meeting with my husband during ovulation,from that ovulation day till the end of the remaining cycle,I will be feeling heat all over my body.could this be the reason why we are unable to concieve? And please Dr what do I about it.Am becoming very uncormfortable fever .Thanks sir.

Hi, I think it is a normal thing to feel some amount of fever after ovulation because of increased progesterone levels. But if you are having high grade fever, get your blood tests and urine tests done for fever checkup. Fever can't be the reason for not conceiving. Get yourself evaluated. Do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. Also a semen analysis of your husband should be done. If everything is fine you can try naturally for 4 more months before undergoing any fertility treatment.
