What Causes Fever, Headache And Cold Sweats?

For five or six days now I have been experiencing fevers, head aches, cold sweats. And mainly chills that tense up my body and I I start to lose my breath. it seems like the chills have cause my knees and hips to go out my ankles have even been going numb. Any idea shays going on?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM .

First you have to do your CBC with peripheral smear examination.If platelet count low with hemoconcentration then investigation for dengue done.
If smear showing malaria parasite then treated for malaria.

If you have also complain of joint pain with fever rule out chickungunya by serological test.

If above causes not present then it could be by acute viral respiratory infection.CBC may show lymphocytosis.

For fever take analgesic.
Cold sponging can be helpful.
If congestive symptom like blocked nose present decongestent taken.

Gt your otoscopic examination if ear pain present as to rule out otitis media Luke condition that lead reffered headache and fever.
