What Causes Fever, Headache And Leg Pain In Children?

My daughter had a fever of 103 yesterday. I took her to the dr and the usual Tylenol, rest, fluids diagnosis was given so we came and followed all the above. This morning she was better. No fever. Ate a pedia-popsicle and had breakfast. Not much of a lunch. Kept asking for milk. Went down for a nap and woke up crying an hour later that her head hurts and legs were achy and a fever again...Not sure how concerned I should be?

Hi...Fever of few hours without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
