What Causes Finger And Nail Odor With Dryness After An Injury?

hello 3 weeks ago my stiches were removed now about 2 weeks later finger has an odor and cut cracked open from dryness. I cut my thumb right in the inner where I feel and my pointing finger threw the middle of my nail and both have an odor and feels dry

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury thumb which was stitched.Now stitches are out .After 2weeks you are seeing discharge of some odor and cut cracked open. I think it may be due to mild infection. Its treatment is analgesic such as diclofenac and antibiotics. You can get its culture and sensitivity done and give antibiotics accordingly. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
