What Causes Flashes In The Line Of Vision And Difficulty In Focusing?
Every now and then,maybe once ever month or two, my eyes get wired, hard to focus and see something like flashes. Last about ten minutes of so and then get headache that last about an hour. It s not bad but does ache. Was wondering what could be happening or what to watch for. Thanks
Welcome to HCM. You have not mentioned the cause of your macular edema. Alternative treatment options can be considered on the current status of your macula(whether your disease is active or dry). I would suggest you to speak to your ophthalmologist that you are undergoing all these emotional changes with oral Diamox and ask him for an alternative therapy(as using eye drops/reducing the dose/ taking it on alternate days ) might help your situation. Also stress and anxiety itself induces fluid retention in macula. If you are still not convinced, you can always go for a second opinion with another Retina specialist. Hope this helps. Take care.
